NAD MATLAB Workshop

What
Workshop
When
18–19 September 2025
Where
Maersk Tower, University of Copenhagen, Blegdamsvej 3B, 2200 København N

Register

The workshop covers the following topics:

• Image processing: introduction to manipulation techniques to extract meaningful information from images, such as morphology and segmentation, and image registration; and 3D image processing, visualisation and segmentation.
• Feature extraction: data analysis to obtain different metrics that could potentially characterise the dataset according to a set of labels using Diagnostic Feature Designer, including time-domain and frequency-domain features. These will be analysed to decide which are the candidates with more information to classify the dataset.
• Classification: comparison of different algorithms developed using the Classification Learner App according to the needs of our problem, with focus on implementation and training.
• MATLAB & Python Interoperability: hands-on introduction to calling Python from MATLAB, MATLAB from Python and making them work together. The example used includes data handling, using a Python API to import data and analyse it in MATLAB, and using MATLAB workflows inside Python environments.

Location

The workshop takes place in the Maersk Tower, building 13. Please see this map for details.

On Thursday September 18, the workshop takes place in room 13.2.48.

On Friday September 19, the workshop takes place in room 13.2.51.

Registration

All neuroscience researchers and students based in Denmark can sign up for the workshop.
