As part of the NAD Advanced Neuroscience PhD Course on Motor and Pain, chaired by Professor Ole Kiehn and Professor Thomas Graven-Nielsen, NAD would like to offer the broader Danish neuroscience research community access to three online keynotes that will be held during the course. These will take place on Monday March 23, Tuesday March 24, and Thursday March 26 from 19:00-20:00 (CET).

Please register to receive a Zoom link to attend one or more of the three keynote lectures.

Monday March 23, 19.00-20.00 (CET) Professor Fan Wang (MIT): Sensorimotor Behavior
Professor Fan Wang is a leading neuroscientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her work focuses on the neural circuits underlying somatosensation, motor control, and pain, using cutting‑edge molecular, genetic, and circuit‑mapping approaches. She is widely recognized for her contributions to understanding how sensory and motor information are processed and integrated in the brain and spinal cord. Tuesday March 24, 19.00-20.00 (CET) Professor Andreas Horn (University Hospital Cologne and Harvard): DBS Network mapping and treatment
Professor Andreas Horn is a physician‑scientist and internationally acknowledged expert in deep brain stimulation and brain network modeling. His research combines neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, and clinical neurology to improve precision neuromodulation therapies, particularly for movement disorders and pain. Thursday March 26, 19.00-20.00 (CET) Associate Professor Michelle Roche (University of Galway): Dissecting the Relevant Circuitry Within Pain and Depression Dr Michelle Roche is an Associate Professor and Neuroscientist in Physiology at the Centre for Pain Research & Galway Neuroscience Centre. Her research focuses on enhancing understanding of the neurobiology underlying pain, affective disorders, and their interactions.
