From June 8-12, the 2026 NAD PhD fellows and 16 other research assistants and PhD students went to Maribo for a course all about transforming your research interest into a well-developed neuroscience project.
Over five intense days, the participants worked on brainstorming ideas, using AI in research and tying project ideas to brain circuits and behavior as well as cellular and molecular foundations. Somehow, we still found time for disc golf, morning yoga and a trip to Knuthenborg Safari Park!
Thank you to all participants and to the excellent speakers: Luigi Pulvirenti (Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies – NSAS), Birger Brodin (University of Copenhagen), Andre Fischer (University Medical Center Göttingen/DZNE), Nathan A. Smith (University of Rochester), Rasmus Herlo (University of Copenhagen), Oliver Hulme, (Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance), Kim Mouridsen (Aarhus University), Maiken Nedergaard (University of Copenhagen & University of Rochester), Søren Grubb and Michael Häusser (University College London) – and a special thank you to co-organiser Anna Mathia Klawonn (Aarhus University).
